Winter Wildlife Field Trip – Raptor and Mountain Hare Photogrphy
7 February 2026 @ 9:00 am - 8 February 2026 @ 4:00 pm

This Year’s winter wildlife trip is the same but different!
On the Saturday, the Highland Falconry Centre will be laying on a range of raptors for us to photograph over water, in steadings, and in the hills and forests around Rothiemurchus (more detail at https://www.highlandfalconrycentre.co.uk/photograghy). Among other birds we will be able to photograph Golden Eagle and Goshawk in a natural setting. While we are getting a very special deal there is only room for twelve, so first come first served. Anyone interested DM Roger and book your slot. Payment details will follow (confirmation by payment of £67 to Roger Stewart).
For everyone else the Highland Wildlife Park is a great day out.
On the Sunday Roger will be running a session for beginners and the experienced alike to photograph Mountain Hares in Strathdearn. We may also see Feral goats, Red Deer and even the odd eagle.
Traditionally members make a weekend of it, taking advantage of the great deals in the local campsites and hotels. So if you have always fancied having a go at wildlife photography, why not set aside a weekend in February and come along?
