The new SDCC website is now live and can be accessed through the usual address of sdcc.org.uk.

Please note that the actual domain name has not yet been fully transferred so the site is accessed through a ‘redirect’ which means when you are on the site you will temporarily see ‘s655928421.websitehome.co.uk/’ in your browser address bar.

The site has been completely redesigned with a new look and feel and a lot of additional new features such as:

A search facility that lets you find anything on the website quickly

A new calendar functionality for displaying events (which can be exported to your own electronic calendars on your phone/PC)

Sidebar ‘widgets’ which show upcoming events and also the latest post from our (public) Facebook page

A page showing all the posts from our (public) Facebook page for the benefit of those members who don’t use Facebook

A new Email contact form system for contacting committee members directly from the website (note this may not be 100% functional until the domain name is fully transferred)

Each page has icons for social media (such as Facebook, Twitter etc) that let’s you share the page on social media

Embedded galleries for the AV Group videos and the SDCC Flickr group pool to show work from these sites

A galleries section showing winners galleries and also the ability to show members galleries and links…I have added a gallery of my own work to illustrate, if any members want to have their own gallery please contact me to get one setup.

Score sheets and results sheets for competitions are now downloadable from the website (when available)

Enhanced site security to help avoid previous malicious spam links (regular site scanning, routine backups)

Please try out the new website and let me know of any problems and also if your have any requests for new features that we can incorporate. I will organise a short demonstration of these features at an upcoming club meeting.
